Sabrina Bryan blogs about her DWTS exit

Regarded as the season five front-runner, Sabrina Bryan was eliminated in what DWTS fans are calling the most shocking results show ever.
After a tough week in which the Cheetah Girl had to learn two numbers, here’s what she said about her final performance:
On learning two dances in one week: We got a chance to be rockers for the group dance number. Mentally, it was a little bit tough because we were going at such a rapid speed. I was learning the fox trot and I’d be fine and then he’d take me back to the first part of it and I wouldn’t remember it. It was hard for me to retain it. I was freaking out a little.

On getting ready for the fox trot: Mark [Ballas] wanted to do a whole elegant, classic look and he told me that he wanted my hair simple. He didn’t want anything funky with it. He wanted it nice and clean. Mark had the idea of bringing in velvet, which was actually the first time on DWTS.

On handling stress: When I am stressed my No. 1 reliever is my music. I have crazy, crazy psycho music. I’ve got house music. I’ve got slow—I call it AM motivation music for when you wake up in the morning and you just need calm. No one else can talk and you just want to listen to music and have sssshhhh time.

On what she’s taking from her DWTS experience: Every minute and every memory I’m taking with me. I’m just pulling this into my heart and capturing it. I’m never going to let it go. I had such an amazing time with Mark. It’s not the end for us. It’s not like, “Peace out, Dog. It was great!” It’s not like that at all! The friendships—Melanie B. and Jennie [Garth] are my girls! I love them.

Partner Mark Ballas on Sabrina: I’m so grateful to have been here all this time. I’ve loved every minute dancing with Sabrina. I love her. We’ve had a blast. I’m sad I won’t get to see her tomorrow. Maybe we’ll go to Coffee Bean?

(Sabrina nods with approval.)

Yeah, I still am scratching my head a bit about this elimination, but hey reality shows are weird like that.

Personally, I'm gonna miss watching Mark Ballas dance more so than Sabrina.

But, if I can't keep it real with ya'll, than who can I?

Gina Glocksen performing, "Since U Been Gone"

I have absolutely no idea of where or when this was taken, but she sounds amazing!

Homegirl needs a record deal already!

DWTS Shocking Results!

Okay, so not even I saw Sabrina Bryan getting the boot on DWTS tonight. I am still in shock. This has definately shook up who can and will be in the final four.

I'm not gonna lie. A tiny piece of me was happy, because I really want Jennie and Derek in the finals badly.

But, I totally thought Jane and Tony or Marie and Jonathan were going home tonight. And neither were even in the bottom two.

Seriously? SERIOUSLY?

If I have learned anything from American Idol, it was that you have to vote for your favorite or they will be gone, just as you think they are safe.

No one on these shows are ever safe.

Here's Sabrina and Mark's Foxtrot that ended in their elimination earlier tonight.

Honestly, I thought it was too sharp, but I still thought they would be in it.

My favorite performance of the night?

Jennie and Derek's Mambo!

And I absolutely loved the group dance!

And because it's Halloween's Cheryl and Emmitt from DWTS Halloween episode two seasons ago.

Happy Halloween!

Adam Levine checks out himself in concert.

Oh Adam.

I cannot wait for my Maroon 5 concert next week.

And for kicks, here's the SNL Digital Short Adam did with Andy Samberg on SNL earlier this season.

Pretty hilarious!

Blake Lewis USA Today "Break Anotha" Review

Blake sets album date, readies first single
Season 6 runner-up Blake Lewis emerges from the cocoon of silence that has mostly enveloped him (tour aside) since the end of the show. 19 Entertainment has announced a Dec. 4 release date for his still-untitled album, and a leadoff single, Break Anotha, goes out to radio Tuesday.

The thoughtful folks at 19 also included a link for lucky recipients of the press release to hear the single, which I did. It sounds like a clever maximizing of Blake's musical inclinations in a contemporary pop context. Or, in plainer English, it's a heavily produced pop-soul tune featuring a chanted chorus with a striking strings figure and a bit of beatboxing and other vocal gymnastics. Seems to be aimed straight at the Justin Timberlake market, and -- with a properly warm radio reception -- it could hit the jackpot.

If you have not heard Blake's single, "Break Anotha" check it out.

Take the poll up top and comment and let me know what you think about Blake's new single!

And if you like it, request it on your local radio station!

Peace out!

Blake Lewis A.D.D. Preview!

Who else is enjoying the new promo shot? Hot, right?

Here's the A.D.D. preview video!

Go BShorty!

I heard the first single, "Break Anotha" a few minutes ago and I am so in love with it. Blake is making the music of the future ya'll! Watch out for him!

Listen to the single here.

December 4th people. AUDIO DAYDREAM. Blake Lewis.

Peace out!

New Maroon 5 video!

Here's Maroon 5's video for their latest single, "I Won't Go Home Without You."

I must have been under a rock somewhere, because apparently, this video has been out for a couple weeks, and right now is the first time I'm even seeing it.

Seriously, who knew?

The performance part of the video is reminiscent of the original cut of the, "She Will Be Loved" video. Well, I think so. You can decide for yourself, check out the original cut of the SWBL video.

It's a bit similar. Anyways...moving on!

I really enjoy the simplicity of their new video. It's great. M5 always seem to nail their videos and this one was just spot on.

And Adam looked hot.

Couldn't help myself. had to at least mention it.

Have a good one!

Britney's "Blackout" getting rave reviews!

Surprise! Britney's New CD a Triumph

The Associated Press
Thursday, October 25, 2007; 4:19 PM

-- Britney Spears, "Blackout" (Jive Records): Just when it seemed safe to write off Britney Spears as a punch line only capable of entertaining people through tabloid escapades, she goes and gets all musically relevant on us.

"Blackout," her first studio album in four years, is not only a very good album, it's her best work ever _ a triumph, with not a bad song to be found on the 12 tracks.

Britney Spears arrives for the grand opening party of LAX nightclub at the Luxor hotel-casino in Las Vegas, in a Sept. 1, 2007 file photo. Spears avoided a criminal hit-and-run trial by paying for damages in a fender-bender but still faces a charge of driving without a license, a court commissioner ruled Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007. Spears was not required to attend the hearing on the misdemeanor charges stemming from an Aug. 6 parking lot mishap. A charge of driving without a license was not dismissed and a pretrial hearing was set for Nov. 26.

Granted, a Spears rave should be put in its proper context _ it's not like we're talking Bob Dylan here. Spears is a lightweight singer who only flourishes when she has great songs and great producers to supplement her minimal vocal talent.

But when she has that help, she's fierce. And she gets that boost on every single track on "Blackout," a sizzling, well-crafted, electro-pop dancefest that should return her to pop's elite.

This is a shocker, given all the lowlights Spears has given us this year. From her embarrassing MTV Video Music Awards performance to her bizarre public antics to allegations that she's an irresponsible parent, Spears has been a walking disaster. It seems amazing that she even found her way to a recording studio, let alone did anything of value while in it.

But Spears emerges on "Blackout" as the antithesis of her tabloid persona _ confident, sensual, and in control.

"I got my eye on you," she coos on one of the album's best tracks, "Radar," a sexy techno groove that you can't help but bounce to _ a feeling that permeates all of "Blackout's" tracks. You won't find any saccharine ballads or fluffy pop on this disc _ it's all about generating heat on the dance floor (and if Spears has shown us anything in the last year, it's that she knows how to party).

On the aptly titled "Freakshow," produced by Danja (who worked on Justin Timberlake's "FutureSex/LoveSounds"), Spears gets voyeuristic with a tantalizing promise to get wild in the club. The hypnotic "Get Naked (I Got A Plan)," also produced by Danja, features Spears breathlessly asking, "What I gotta do to make you move my body" before demanding, "take it off, take it off, take it off."

It's not all about grinding to the music, though. On rock-tinged "Piece of Me," produced by Bloodshy & Avant, she defiantly address her critics: "I'm Mrs. Bad Media Karma, another day another drama ... I'm Mrs. Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, I'm Mrs. 'Oh My God That Britney's Shameless.'" And on the slow-burn, Neptunes-produced "Why Should I Be Sad," the album's last track, she cops to heartbreak but refuses to let it get her down, a rare vulnerable moment.

Listening to "Blackout" is not only an energetic release, it's also a relief: No, Spears hasn't completely lost it, and yes, her career has a flicker of fire left _ actually much, much more. But with all the damage Spears has done and continues to do to her public image, will anyone outside her core fan base (and who knows what that consists of these days) care anymore?

This album is the first, great step in making that happen.

I'm not even gonna front, Britney's album is probably one of the best albums I have heard all year.

If you want a cd with non-stop upbeat, dance tracks, this is the CD for you! And for me!

I really, really wanted to not like this CD at all, and normally after a first listen, I'm not always feelin' the music, but after hearing "Blackout" in full and the extra tracks, I am beyond happy that homegirl made a kickbutt CD!

Britney needed something really good to come out of her past year, and I think she's done it.

This whole CD, track-to-track is simply, in one word, excellent.

This is the Britney I grew up idolizing!

For me, one of the main standout tracks is "Toy Soldier." Check it out!

What did I tell ya'll!? It's great!

This is going to be a great New Music Tuesday!

Take the poll and let me know which Jive Records artist album you plan on buying, Britney or Backstreet Boys?

Billboard Reviews Backstreet Boys' "Unbreakable"

While the turn of phrase may be cliché, the overall sound of "Unbreakable" screams it loud and clear: Backstreet's back.
Unlike 2005's uneven "comeback" album "Never Gone," its follow-up finds the Boys dipping into their old bag of classic pop songs. They are a boy band with spot-on harmonies: They sing huge, hooky choruses; belt out sappy bridges ("I'm a house of cards in a hurricane," the group wails on "Helpless When She Smiles"); and bop and groove to slickly produced dance numbers. Nearly everything here is top 40 or AC radio-ready, particularly the piano-driven first single, "Inconsolable," and the Beatles-y "Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon." The boy band heyday might be long over and the group is now a man down (Kevin Richardson departed to pursue other interests), but Backstreet's ready to try and melt your heart once again. —Jill Menze

I am loving the positive reviews that the Backstreet Boys are receiving for their album out this Tuesday, October 30. I just hope that the BSB fans and general public enjoy it as well.

Like I believe I have mentioned previously, the standout track is definitely the JC Chasez penned track, "Treat Me Right."

BSB need to make this their next single. It has Top 40 radio written all over it. And they could make a hot dance video with the song, which could possibly very well result in more VH1/MTV airplay.

If you have not gotten a chance to hear what I hope is the next BSB single, "Treat Me Right", check it out!

Comment with your thoughts!

L.A. gave Blake Lewis bronchitis

Well, I think that's one of the better things to catch from L.A. I'd take bronchitis too.

Anyways, here is the new Ethan's Adventures episode that Ethan posted up earlier today.

Brake Rewis is sick. But, the album will still be out December 4.

And yes, the "Hills Box" is on

Bid now!

Feel better Blake!

Ryan Gosling speaks out about his Lovely departure

Q: Did Lord of the Rings guru Peter Jackson fire Ryan Gosling just before filming was to start on The Lovely Bones?

— W.N. , Dayton, Ohio

A: Gosling did indeed leave the production based on the hugely popular bestselling novel. His role as the father of missing Susie Salmon now goes to Mark Wahlberg. Gossip reports have thrown out an avalanche of rumors about his departure, ranging from he was "too difficult" for Jackson to work with to the twenty pounds he gained for the role made him look too fat.

Ryan wasn’t hiding behind a "no comment" when I asked what really happened. "I think, people are making it a far more interesting story than it actually is," he says. "The age of the character versus my real age was always a concern of mine. Peter and I tried to make it work and ultimately it just didn’t. I think the film is much better off with Mark Walhberg in that role. Peter Jackson is an incredible filmmaker and I’m here to tell you that he has things up his sleeve that are going to blow peoples’ minds. I’m going to be the first person in line to buy tickets."

As for the report that he was difficult to work with, Gosling says, "The media always slant things in a negative direction. If somebody said I was easy to work with, they’d make that sound bad, too."

In the meantime, Ryan is basking in the good buzz surrounding Lars and the Real Girl—no objectivity here—it’s one of my favorite films of the year. Go see it before everyone tells you about it.

Of course, I asked him what's next and got a very sincere "haven’t decided!" — Jeanne Wolf

I still think that Ryan would have been amazing in that role. But, it is good to know that there's no hard feelings between Peter Jackson and Ryan. Cause, the last thing the entertainment world needs is more bickering!

Well, actually as long as it takes the world's focus off of Britney Spears, it might not be so bad.

And has anyone seen "Lars and the Real Girl" yet?

I am hoping to see it within the next week!

Have a good one!

"We applaud Bon Jovi's decision to launch their tour from The Prudential Center in Newark to bring worldwide attention to the redevelopment of this American city, and the economic impact this arena will have in the band’s home state," said Randy Phillips, President & CEO of AEG Live, the band's North American tour promoter. "We look forward to the most dynamic Bon Jovi tour yet."

Bon Jovi has set the bar for more than two decades as one of the most successful rock bands in the world. Globally, they have sold more than 120 million albums and performed more than 2,500 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 32 million fans. Their latest album, the Nashville-inspired LOST HIGHWAY was released June 19, 2007, debuted at #1 around the world and includes the hits songs "Lost Highway" and "(You Want To) Make a Memory." BSB Original "Drowning" Video!

Okay, so in 2001, when the Backstreet Boys dropped their "Chapter One" album, they had shot this highly anticipated video for their song, "Drowning", which in the end got scrapped. Fans, including myself were bummed, cause you say BSB and rain, we want to see it!

It turns out that the video was put up on the director's website, and now it has made it's way to!

So, here is the original cut of the Backstreet Boys' video for "Drowning." Enjoy!

And for some comparison, here's the version that was shown on MTV.

And just for kicks!

Backstreet's Back, Alright!

Backstreet Boys EW "Unbreakable" CD Review.

What are Brian, Nick, Howie & AJ without Kevin? Ponder that existential puzzler as you listen to BSB's first CD since losing a member last year. The remaining Boys make for a surprisingly sweet barber-shop quartet on Unbreakable's a cappella intro, and they come close to recreating the sheer euphoria of the biggest pre-Y2K smashes on many of the up-tempo dance-pop numbers that follow. Just skip the soggy adult-contemporary power ballads (see lead single Inconsolable) if you want to avoid killing that nostalgic buzz. B-

"Everything But Mine"

A great review from Entertainment Weekly! That's pretty exciting, due to the fact that their music critics tend to dislike almost anything.

I have already heard the album. I think it is a lot better than their 2005 release, "Never Gone", however still not as good as their 1999 top seller, "Millennium."

I will be working on my own review, but my own personal recommendation is the JC Chasez penned track, "Treat Me Right." It's amazing!

The album is out this coming Tuesday, October 30.

Peace out!

Somebody pass the haterade to Peter Jackson.

Peter Jackson was said to be quite surprised that Gosling had showed up to start work on "The Lovely Bones" looking like he'd donned a fat suit. According to sources, the 26-year-old Gosling had apparently told the director he was going to gain weight to age himself up to play the part of a grieving father, but Jackson was still expecting some movie star allure -- not paunch and a beard. By Friday, Gosling had left the high-profile production over those pesky "creative differences," and, by Sunday, he'd been replaced by 36-year-old Mark Wahlberg, who actually could be old enough to father a teenager.

The film, based on the popular book by Alice Sebold, is about a 14-year-old girl, Susie Salmon, who is murdered by a neighbor and watches how the tragedy affects her family from heaven. The cast includes Rachel Weisz as her mother, and Susan Sarandon as her grandmother.

Gosling's departure comes on the heels of his indie pic "Lars and the Real Girl," which, according to cost $12 million. So far the film has earned $316,000, and will go wide this weekend. A DreamWorks representative declined to comment, as did Gosling's manager.

Still, "The Lovely Bones," which starts shooting today in Pennsylvania, will continue relatively unhampered.

I'm sorry, but seriously? This is honestly the first time that I have heard about a male being discriminated for their weight in Hollywood. And from one perspective, it's sort of amazing.

From another perspective, Ryan Gosling is probably the most promising actor and talent out there in Hollywood right now, and how could Peter Jackson not have known what Ryan had been looking like lately, with all the press photos out from the "Lars and The Real Girl" premieres and events.

And also, for someone like Jackson who had people say nasty things about what he looked like at the Oscars a few years ago, when "Lord of the Rings" made a clean sweep, to say things about Ryan Gosling, is absolutely ridiculous and hateful.

But, hey that's just my opinion. And the kettle's.

Marie Osmond Faints on DWTS!

Watch the video.

Okay, so I will say that I was not even paying attention when she fainted. I had started watching her Samba, found it boring, and tuned it out until the show came back from commercial. When the host mentioned Marie fainting, I was like, "Say what now?" and hit rewind on the DVR.

Dang, she dropped to the ground like dead weight. That was crazy, and I really did feel bad for her. It will be interesting to see how the voting plays out tonight. But, I honestly think Mark Cuban is going home....FINALLY! But, I do think that Marie and Jonathan may be in the bottom two. But, who knows right? I mean, last week Mel B and Maksim were in the bottom two, and that was beyond ridiculous!

After last night's Samba performance, I think it's almost safe to say that they will be in it for the long run.

My other favorite dance of the night was Cameron and Edyta's Rumba.

It's becoming a tight race!

Well, look at that.

Well, take a look at this. Seriously, take it all in. Jake and Reese finally go public or is it a publicity stunt, seeing as their supposedly highly anticipated movie, "Rendition" apparently didn't do very well at the box office this weekend. Hello #9 movie in America.

Well, if this is a legit relationship, it's about time they are public with it. What celebrities don't realize is that the public isn't stupid. Yes, I'm talking to you Jennifer Lopez, who won't confirm she's pregnant, but I would guess she's 5-6 months along.

Celebrities wonder why people are so fascinated with what US Weekly and Perez have to say. Probably has something to do with not being upfront with the people who supported getting you to where you are today. The public are like celebrity relatives by extension. If we read it, it must be true, until you say otherwise.

So, say otherwise already!

And I must send out snaps to Reese Witherspoon. Former wife of Ryan Phillippe (who, I am still not convinced cheated on her) and current girlfriend/or something along the lines of that to Jake Gyllenhaal.

Way to take one for the team, girl!

To wrap up the first post of the morning, here's a funny interview with Jake Gyllenhaal from the Letterman show, which aired last week.

Jermaine Dupri drank some haterade.

Justin Timberlake has been slammed by Janet Jackson’s boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri, for failing to support Janet Jackson after her ‘wardrobe malfunction.’

Jackson famously exposed part of her breast whilst performing alongside Timberlake at the half-time Superbowl show in 2004.

The unplanned incident, which shocked millions of TV viewers, was deemed to have been a ‘wardrobe malfunction’ by officials.

Talking about the incident in his new autobiography, ‘Young, Rich And Dangerous,’ Dupri has taken a number of swipes at Timberlake because of his reaction to the malfunction, reports WENN.

He writes: "I think Justin Timberlake is a talented performer. But he's very ordinary-looking. He could be any skinny white kid from the suburbs of Orlando. You could go to the mall and find another Justin.

"He doesn't make his style interesting even when he's onstage. To me, he just doesn't look like a star."

Okay, so the so-called, "wadrobe malfunction" was when, early 2004 right? Why are we still talking about it?

Well, Okay you have JT and you have Janet. Both awesome performers. I am a huge fan of both of them. But, I think it would be in Janet's best interest to stop talking about it. And, yes I realize that this is Jermaine talking about it, but in essence he's an extension of Janet. She has said that she doesn't want to talk about it anymore, but here it is again, brought up in the media.

And Jermaine needs to seriously recognize. At least when JT goes on tour, he sings live. And who knows if he even caught Justin's FutureSex/LoveShow tour, but from someone who was there (that would be me), it was the most rockin' show I have seen so far this year.

And don't you love how celebrities feel like they can talk all this ish in their books?

Finally, keepin' it real!

Ryan Gosling backs out of "The Lovely Bones"

Mark Wahlberg has replaced Ryan Gosling in the Peter Jackson-directed The Lovely Bones, an adaptation of the Alice Sebold novel for DreamWorks.

Wahlberg has taken the role of Jack Salmon, the grieving father of a young girl. That role was vacated Friday by Lars and the Real Girl star Ryan Gosling, who stepped out one day before shooting began after gaining 20 pounds and growing a beard for the job. Variety says the exit is due to creative differences.

After reading the script, Wahlberg quickly committed Sunday. He joins Rachel Weisz as a couple whose world is shattered after their daughter is murdered. The girl watches over her family and her killer from heaven.

Jackson wrote the script with his "The Lord of the Rings" partners Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens.

The film begins shooting today in Pennsylvania, where Wahlberg most recently wrapped the lead in the M. Night Shyamalan-directed The Happening for Fox.

Wahlberg also recently committed to star with Brad Pitt in the Darren Aronofsky-directed The Fighter at Paramount. That picture is expected to begin production next fall.

I am quite unhappy to hear about this. I was actually given "The Lovely Bones" a couple years ago, and thought it was a great book. And after I heard Ryan had the role, I thought it suited him perfectly. Ryan has a knack for roles like these.

In my small, tiny opinion, which only counts being which this does happen to be my blog, I happen to think that Mark Wahlberg in this role is a major downgrade.

Seriously. No bueno.

Oh well.

Can't wait til Hollywood goes on strike and there will be no movies to anticipate.

Perish the thought, right?

Jon Bon Jovi Hosts SNL!

Okay, while I was at The Palms this weekend in Las Vegas, I was informed that I missed Jon Bon Jovi hosting Saturday Night Live. I feel like the worst Bon Jovi fan ever. I didn't have a clue he was even hosting. My bad.

Here is the HILARIOUS opening skit!

Here's his opening monologue...

And check out Andy Samberg's Digital Short.

I cannot believe I missed it!

Excerpt from Lance Bass' upcoming autobiography.

New excerpts from Lance Bass' autobiography, "Out of Sync" are slowly making their way to the internet, and are giving fans a look at what was happening between Justin and Britney.

"Justin Timberlake was still dating Britney Spears, his former “sister” Mouseketeer [in 2001]. At the time, she struck me as just this adorable little teenage girl at a perennial slumber party — staying up late and having lots of fun. She showed no signs of the turmoil she would eventually encounter, maybe because she was so in love with Justin she thought it was going to last forever.

I knew it wouldn’t. Justin already had a great love in his life — his career. He wanted to be a star, and no girl, no matter how great, was going to be able to distract him from that for more than a night or two between trips to the center of the spotlight.

But as I said, she seemed like the perfect girlfriend, especially when she wore her pajamas and hung out with the boys."

Oh my. I cannot wait to get my hands on this book!

Here is a video clip excerpt from Access Hollywood.

Oh yeah!

Keep the dirt coming Mr. Bass!

It's simple, she looks great. I like it!

I think the song is a great second single choice, it will be interesting to find out what she is considering for the third single.

That's all for now!

Britney Spears new video for "Gimme More"

The video for Britney Spears' #1 single, "Gimme More" became available on iTunes earlier this evening.

So, here it is for all the Britney fans, and those wondering why she still makes music. (BTW, if the video doesn't work for you, leave a comment, so I can fix the video link. Thanks!)

I'm gonna just say it.

This is her worst video...ever.

Oh, the official album title for Britney's upcoming album being released on November 13th is, "Blackout."

Just for laughs!

While looking around for the leaked Britney Spears video for her #1 single, "Gimme More", I came across something even more awesome.

A remix video of Britney's "Gimme More" featuring Chris Crocker's crazy self.

Seriously funny.

The fall heard round the world.

At least the world of anyways.

So, this week on Dancing With the Stars Jennie Garth and her partner Derek Hough took a spill at the end of their quick step, after Derek slipped on a piece of her dress and managed to take Jennie down with him. Here's their performance.

I was so happy when they announced that Jennie and Derek would be staying in the competition, because their routine was excellent, and you know if they hadn't fell they would have scored higher than 21.

So, who topped my list Tuesday night? That's an easy one...Julianne and Helio. They were fantastic!

So who got kicked off on money was on Wayne Newton, but his fans would have none of it.

Albert Reed and Anna Trebunskaya quickstepped their way out of the ballroom, which honestly, that is some ish if I have ever seen it. They were so awesome Tuesday night, such a vast improvement from the week before, it was disappointing to see them make such an early exit.

It truly seems that this season is all about the fanbase the stars have.

It's going to be an interesting season.

Here was Alex and Anna's dance from Tuesday night.

AJ McLean says, "Britney needs to wake up."

Oct. 3, 2007
Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean, right, says Britney Spears, left, needs more support from the people in her life. (CBS/AP)
(CBS) By The ShowBuzz's Caitlin A. Johnson

Their sixth album, "Unbreakable," is about to come out Oct. 30, but recent headlines have been overshadowing Backstreet Boys' long-awaited comeback.

The immensely popular boy-band from the 1990s and early 2000s hit the scene when teen stars were reclaiming the lime light and are contemporaries of 'NSync, Christina Aguilera, and, yes, the embattled former queen of them all, Britney Spears.

Spears recently had her children taken away from her by a judge who called her a habitual drug user. They are now staying with their father and her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

Backstreet Boys' A.J. McLean has been sober for five years but was addicted to drugs until the most important people in his life, what McLean calls his "unit" staged an intervention. He then entered rehab. He said what Spears needs most is support and tough love from the people in her life.

"I think her unit is not as tight and there's not as many people who are looking out for her best interest unfortunately," McLean, 29, told The ShowBuzz. "You just have to have a really great support group and you have to love yourself first."

On the upside, McLean says the only way around a problem like drug addiction is through it, and that means the addict must face the harsh realities of how far the she has fallen. The latest issues in Spears' life many force her to do so, he said.

The Backstreet Boys, from left, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Brian Littrell and AJ McLean, are releasing a new album on Oct. 30, 2007.

"With all that's happened as of recent, you know losing custody, this, that and the other, I think, you know, hopefully, unfortunately, this is a very drastic thing for someone to have to go through, but I think, hopefully, this will give her a wakeup call, and time to really kind of grow and get herself together and get her head on straight."

While Spears is battling her own issues, demons from the past seem to be coming back to haunt the Backstreet Boys. An article from the upcoming issue of Vanity Fair alleges that Lou Pearlman, the mastermind behind groups like 'NSync, Backstreet Boys and LFO, could have behaved in a sexually inappropriate manner with his clients, including the Backstreet Boys youngest member, Nick Carter.

In the article, his mother says that she tried to warn other parents that something inappropriate was going on and the things that happened nearly destroyed her family. When asked about the Vanity Fair story, Carter said he didn't want to comment, but acknowledged the issue.

"This is something that's been going on for years, talks and allegations," he said. "It's kinda old news, you know what I mean? So, really, there's no comment on the issue."

So, yeah Britney needs help like whoa. It's like what comedian Chelsea Handler said on her show the other night, if O.J. Simpson got to keep his kids after his situation...c'mon now!

And on a different note, new BSB song clips are leaking left and right. I am quite enjoying most of what I am hearing, and hopefully other BSB fans are as well!

BSB/*Nsync Mentor's Inappropriate Behavior

October 2, 2007 -- LOU Pearlman - the hog-fat, boy-band honcho who created *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys and launched the careers of Justin Timberlake and Nick Carter - was a pervy pedophile who preyed on the young men he mentored, Vanity Fair reports.

"I would absolutely say the guy was a sexual predator. All the talent knew what Lou's game was," Steve Mooney, an aspiring singer who was Pearlman's assistant, told VF's Bryan Burrough. "Some guys joked about it. I remember [one singer] asking me, 'Have you let Lou [fellate] you yet?' "

Mooney said he once asked Pearlman, who was known as "Big Poppa," what it would take for him to get into a band. "I'll never forget this as long as I live. He leaned back in his chair, in his white terry cloth robe and white underwear, and spread his legs," Mooney told Burrough. "And then he said, and these were his exact words, 'You're a smart boy. Figure it out.' " Mooney added that a singer groped by Pearlman told him, "Look, if a guy wants to massage me, and I'm getting a million dollars for it, you just go along with it. It's the price you got to pay."

Phoenix Stone, an early member of the Backstreet Boys, tells Vanity Fair Pearlman was "definitely inappropriate" with Nick Carter. Nick's mom, Jane Carter, wouldn't get into specifics, but said, "Certain things happened and it almost destroyed our family. I tried to warn everyone. I tried to warn all the mothers . . . I tried to expose him for what he was years ago."

Tim Christofore
, a member of Take 5, recalls that during a sleepover at Pearlman's house, the music czar swan-dived onto his and another boy's bed and wrestled with them wearing only in a towel, which came off. "We were like, 'Ooh, Lou, that's gross.' What did I know? I was 13," Christofore told Vanity Fair.

Rich Cronin
, lead singer of LFO, recalled Pearlman told him of an "ancient massage technique that if I massage you and we bond in a certain way, it will strengthen your aura."

Pearlman, 53, is in a Florida jail awaiting trial on bank fraud charges. Prosecutors say he scammed more than 1,000 investors out of $315 million. He'd been a fugitive until June when he was busted in Indonesia, living under a fake name. His lawyer did not return calls from Page Six.

Okay, so that article was from Page Six in the NY Post, and normally I don't post things from that site, but dang. Makes you wonder what was going on at the *Nsync compound in Florida all those years.

You would think if this was going on, someone would have said something, anything! I mean, is jump-starting a career so important that people have to stoop to do something so ridiculously inappropriate?

And yay this is the 100th post for Wait...What?!

Like you couldn't see this happening.

So, Britney Spears lost custody to her children today effective this Wednesday, October 3rd.

Honestly, I am so not shocked. I have had friends and family telling me that there was no way that Kevin Federline would ever receive full custody of those kids, temporarily or whatever, and they were so wrong.

I called that ish from a mile away. Seriously.

Kevin has been working, he will be seen on the upcoming fifth season of The CW's "One Tree Hill." I haven't seen Kevin out at clubs every night of the week. Kevin's not the one required to be drug tested every week.

Britney partied all week long, even after she knew it could cost her Sean Preston and Jayden James. Or maybe this is like the situation with Paris Hilton, where the publicist forgot to tell her about not driving when your license has been revoked. Maybe Britney really doesn't have a clue. I mean, she acts as if she doesn't.

No tears from me about Miss Brit losing her kids this week. The girl needs help. And I hope she finds it. She has shut out all the people trying to help guide her out of this hot mess she created for herself, and you Justin Timberlake is thanking his lucky stars that he cut the cord from her when he did.

Here's an article from MTV News.

Britney Spears' Sad Saga Continues With Judge's Child-Custody Order

The judge's order was just another disappointing development in a troubling timeline of Spears activity in recent years.
By Jennifer Vineyard

It's been motherhood under a microscope for Britney Spears, who lost custody of her two children — at least temporarily — on Monday (October 1) when a judge ordered the singer to turn over her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline until further notice, effective Wednesday.

From day one, Spears has faced scorn and scrutiny for her choice of a husband — but strangely, Federline's image has now improved relative to hers. Even if Britney hasn't cracked under the pressure, the judge in her custody case isn't taking any chances when it comes to her young brood, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James. The couple's theme song used to be "Chaotic," and maybe that's part of the problem.

» April: Britney Spears and Kevin Federline meet, frolic and run away to Europe together. Kevin tells a then-pregnant Shar Jackson, the mother of his first two children, that he's shooting a commercial overseas. Well, he was only half-lying — he shot "Chaotic." Shar tells People magazine, "It wasn't like just breaking up a relationship. It was like breaking up a family."

» June: Britney pops the question, busts her knee and cancels her tour. The couple announce their engagement (see "It's True: Britney's Engaged").

» July 20: Shar Jackson gives birth to Kaleb, her second child with Kevin.

» September 18: Britney and Kevin have a surprise marriage ceremony

» April 12: Britney announces she's pregnant on her Web site

» June: A pregnant Britney appears in a video for her single "Someday (I Will Understand)."

» September 14: Sean Preston — Britney and Kevin's first child together, his third — is born.+

» February 6: Britney is photographed driving with Sean Preston on her lap, not in a car seat. Britney is questioned by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services. She blames the paparazzi.

» April 1: Sean Preston falls out of his high chair at home. Britney is questioned again by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services. She blames the nanny.

» May 9: Britney appears on "Late Show With David Letterman" to announce she's pregnant once again.

» May 18: Britney nearly drops Sean Preston — but not her coffee — in New York. She blames the cobblestones.

» June 16: Britney cries and smacks her gum while defending her parenting techniques to Matt Lauer on "Dateline." About driving with Sean Preston in her lap? "I did it with my dad. I'd sit on his lap and I drive. We're country."

» August 31: Britney and Kevin spoof their image as bad parents when they appear together via satellite on the Video Music Awards.

» September 12: Britney and Kevin's second child together is born, Jayden James.

» November 6: Britney makes her first official appearance after giving birth, as a surprise guest on "Late Show With David Letterman."

» November 7: The next day, she files for divorce asking for sole custody (allowing visitation rights). Kevin finds out via text message. She celebrates by going ice-skating at New York's Rockefeller Center.

» November 8: Kevin fights back, filing for sole custody (allowing visitation rights)

» Mid-November: Spears' response is apparently to party hard — with Paris and without panties. Cameras catch everything — even her Caesarian scar.

» December 7:
Britney explains her behavior on her Web site, saying she got carried away. "Thank God for Victoria's Secret!" she writes.

» January 5: The panty-less partying doesn't stop — nor do Spears' apologies. "Trust me, I get it," she writes. "I know I've been far from perfect." Later that month, the couple agree to a temporary joint-custody arrangement which included a three-days-a-week visitation schedule for Federline.

» February 14: Britney checks into Crossroads Centre, a rehab facility on the Caribbean island of Antigua, only to check out a day later.

» February 16:
Britney shaves her head in Sherman Oaks, California.

» February 20: Britney checks into Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Facility in Malibu, California, only to check out less than 24 hours later.

» February 22: Britney checks back into Promises, as Kevin asks the court for an emergency hearing to help sort out custody issues.

» March 20: Britney completes her program at Promises, as Kevin celebrates his 29th birthday.

» March 29: Britney and Kevin reach a settlement "on all issues of their marriage and child custody," in which the couple are to split custody 50/50.

» April 16: Britney fires her manager Larry Rudolph after mocking him in a paparazzi video. "Like, my management totally knew what they were doing when they sent me to rehab," she tells X-17's camera guy in a mock Valley Girl voice. Or was it her real voice?

» May 17:
Britney fires bodyguard Tony Barretto for failing to pick up a hat. He later files a deposition in her child-custody case claiming to be witness to "nudity, drug use and safety issues" involving her kids.

» May 29:
Britney posts her now-infamous "I was so lost" letter. "Till this day I don't think it was alcohol or depression," she writes of her behavior prior to rehab. "I was like a bad kid running around with ADD. I had a manager from a long time ago try to come in and direct me and my life after I got my divorce ... I think it is actually normal for a young girl to go out after a huge divorce."

» June: Britney's personal publicist resigns.

» July 26: Britney takes the kids out of state (a no-no when it comes to the custody agreement), only to have a tussle with a paparazzo outside the Wynn hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Her bodyguard Cesar Julio Camera is later charged with battery in connection with the incident. Strangely enough, the only post on the singer's Web site for the month — and ever since — has been an apology to another paparazzo, one she attacked with an umbrella. The singer blamed her actions on a movie role. "I was preparing a character for a possible movie role where the husband doesn't play his part so they swap places," she writes.

» July 30: The divorce is finally made official ...

» August 2: ... but nothing is settled, as Federline's team starts to serve a series of subpoenas to Spears' friends and employees, starting with her assistant Alli Sims.

» August 6: Britney has a minor fender-bender when she hits a parked car. Well, minor except for the fact that she doesn't have a driver's license in the state of California, and she leaves the scene — while being photographed and videotaped.

» September 9: Britney performs on the VMAs, while Kevin throws a birthday party for the kids.

» September 17: A Los Angeles judge orders Britney to do random drug testing, counseling and parenting classes as he evaluates the couple's opposing custody wishes. Kevin is also ordered to take parenting lessons. Britney swaps lawyers.

» September 18: Britney parts company with her management and swaps lawyers once again.

» September 21: Britney is charged with two misdemeanor counts of hit and run causing property damage and driving without a valid license. She continues to drive anyway, and is photographed and videotaped driving with the kids in the car.

» October 1: A Los Angeles judge orders Britney to give the kids to Kevin, by Wednesday, at least temporarily.
