Just want to say to those offended by this video that I am sorry you were offended. I did not intend that. In a world where I love u between guys can mean more then one thing we just wanted to clarify the status of our relationship. It had nothing to do with passing judgement.

So he wanted to clarify that he and Gokey aren't gay? As if anyone thought that. Neither of them are attractive enough to be gay. Much ado about nothing, but it's always funny to see Idols forget to watch what they say.

I know I haven't kept up with my Idol commentary, there are so many other awesome blogs that do a much better job. So, I suppose that's part of it.

So, last night Danny Gokey finally met his demise on Idol. I have been waiting for this moment for a few weeks now. Well...actually I was hoping last week. I really wanted Allison to be in the Top 3.

And if you look at some of my blog entries earlier in the season, you would come to find that I was actually a huge Danny fan in the beginning. Like the first couple weeks.

The first thing that made me re-thing me wanting Danny to win the whole thing, was during Motown Week and he failed to follow the advice of Smokey Robinson. Uh, Danny, when Smokey Robinson gives you advice of any kind, wouldn't it be smart to take it? I would take it. So, that irked me.

And then the meditating on Simon's comments. REALLY? SERIOUSLY? Okay, maybe he did, cause "Come Rain or Come Shine" was REALLY good. It was the best I had seen of Danny since "P.Y.T."

The other thing that really bothered me was during Disco Week, Danny chose to perform Earth, Wind and Fire's "September". Awesome song, not lyrically challenging in the least, and really doesn't need any lyrical revision. However, as I was singing-a-long as he performed on my TV, I realized that we were singing two different songs. And he was pitchy the ENTIRE performance. And then Randy Jackson and his precise judging skillz said that it pitch perfect. All the judges just praised him and I was confused. Very confused.

And then Rock Week. The scream. And if you have NO IDEA what I am referring to, please take the time to watch the following:



The judges gave him an A for effort! (A++, right Paula?) Simon did tell him that the scream sounded like it was straight out of a horror movie, however he believed that he would still be safe the next week. And was he? OF COURSE HE WAS.

Other than Danny not being eliminated when he should have been, I can not stand that the judges went out of their way to pimp him on talk shows (Simon and Randy) and Twitter. (Thanks again, Paula!) Simon even said that Kris would not be able to compete with Adam in the Top 2, because he can't sing as well as him.

Luckily, this week, not only did Danny go first, Paula chose a song for him that most of the voting public had never heard before. And then Kris kicked his butt with "Heartless".

And then Danny got eliminated the next night. As soon as Ryan said that the the Top 2 was not going to play out how most thought it would, I knew Danny or even Adam was going home.

So, Idol judges have we learned our lesson about overly pimping contestants that the fans don't want in the competition? We will come out in spades and vote to prove you wrong.

Is Danny a good singer? Yes. I wish him much success, he should think about doing Standards, cause they seem to fit his voice best.

However, am I happy that he was eliminated?

Yes, a week too late, but it was his time. Especially, just to wipe that look off his face that he had when Allison was eliminated.
